This group of Christians love to share their love of Christ to encourage and uplift their fellowman. We do this by sharing our various craft skills with
1) individuals who receive Meals on Wheels in Leon County
2) residents of Cass Nursing Health Care Center in Centerville
3) victims of Domestic Violence
4) individuals' who have lost a loved one or has extensive medical issues
5) Food Pantry Recipients
6) Children who are present at a crime scene or accident
7) Centerville High School seniors
Anyone who can cut, paste, color, crochet, cross stitch, quilt, sew can participate. Whatever your craft you can provide a service to someone in need. Attendance at meetings is not required. The craft can be done at home and turned into the church office or another member of the team for distribution. A fantastic opportunity to fellowship with other Christians who enjoy crafting and service to those in need of a virtual hug. Each item is accompanied with an encouraging Bible verse and card from North Creek Baptist Church Tentmakers.
In the past year, we have made "puzzle" pins, stuffed animals, T-shirt beach bags, cross stitch pictures for nursing home residents, pillows, hats, blankets, home-made soap, colored Bible verse cards, hangers, key chains, cross stitch souvenir cards and mending kits.
Come and join the fun and fellowship of giving. Tentmakers meets the 4th Tuesday of each month (except December) from10 a.m. til noon in the church parsonage (NCBC 8153 FM 3178) living room. Crafts also are taught if anyone wishes to learn how to do something. Whatever your craft we encourage you to join us.
